Recently Kai Trepte, Vice President of Sales and Service at John Galt Solutions, spoke to the Chicago Chapter of APICS at a professional development meeting. Kai’s topic “Turning Demand Planning Inside Out” presented a common sense nuts-and-bolts approach to leveraging business activities to lower gaps between forecasting and demand planning process and what actually takes place in day to day business activity. Richard Gendon the program director for the Chicago chapter remarked “Kai was able to breathe new life into many of the basic issues that drive what we do, but that are often overlooked during the intense analytical reviews we all follow in trying to produce ‘a yet better forecast’. Said another way, it is the old can’t-see-the-trees-for-the-forest syndrome – For many of us in the room, Kai’s presentation made the trees spring to life once again.” Kai Trepte will also be presenting at the APICS International Conference and Exposition in San Diego October 10th-13th, where his topic will cover “Developing S&OP Plans in a Multi-National Environment.”

John Galt Solutions attends IBF Europe

The Institute for Business Forecasting recently held their European Best Practices conference in London, and John Galt Solutions was there to demonstrate the power of ForecastX technology, and the Atlas Planning Suite. Many new companies were able to explore the capability of John Galt’s Walk, Drive, Fly methodology alongside European partners of many of our domestic clients. The biggest thrill of the conference was being able to sit down with some of our international clients for an impromptu training session on the ForecastX Wizard, and the different modeling tools, and accuracy measurements it contains. With over 5,000 installations worldwide John Galt continues to expand its global presence, and will continue to attend International events to support our customers.
