Fundamentals of Business Forecasting Training:
Our next training session will be held on May 12th and 13th. Please visit www.johngalt.com or email sales@johngalt.com for more information.

Forecasters and Planners from diverse industries such as manufacturing, distribution/warehousing, healthcare, cosmetics, and retail assembled in Chicago February 17th and 18th for the first quarterly training session on the Fundamentals of Business Forecasting at John Galt’s corporate headquarters. The first day of this training session covered forecasting procedures, new product forecasting, multiple regression, and time series techniques. This part of the session was taught by Professor Barry Keating of Notre Dame University. Professor Keating is the co-author of Business Forecasting, 4th Edition, and a frequent speaker on forecasting methods at tutorial conferences held by the Institute of Business Forecasting. Galt’s Forecast Xperts and Services Team took over on the second day of training, assisting the attendees with forecasting their own data. This hands-on experience really drove home the lessons they had learned on how to improve forecast accuracy using data cleansing, grouping, and other techniques with the ForecastX Wizard.
