Eastern Kentucky University is a regional, coeducational, public institution
of higher education offering general and liberal arts programs, pre-professional
and professional training in education and various other fields at
both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Located in Richmond, Madison
County, Kentucky, Eastern has a distinguished record of almost a century
of educational service to the Commonwealth.
Eastern Kentucky University was founded in 1906 with a faculty of
seven. In 1909, when the first commencement was held, 11 people received
degrees. Over the last century, we've grown to a full-fledged comprehensive
university offering 168 degree programs and serving more than 15,000
students a year. But EKU hasn't lost that small-college feel.
College of Business & Technology
The College of Business & Technology of Eastern Kentucky University
is located in Richmond, Kentucky includes over 20 academic programs
in agriculture, aviation, business, communication, military science
(ROTC), and technology as well as essential services provided by the
Center for Economic Development, Entrepreneurship, and Technology
and the EKU Small Business Development Center. All units composing
the College of Business and Technology work together as a family to
meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
