Located in Mansfield, PA, the Mansfield University combines the best
qualities of a small liberal arts college with the resources of a
comprehensive university. Founded in 1857 first as a classical seminary,
now having 3,556 students and 180 professors, Mansfield is one of
the smallest state-owned universities in the state. An impressive
faculty of teacher-scholars, a wide range of courses and majors, career
focused experiences, high tech equipment, and the latest facilities
– it’s all Mansfield.
Located in the northern Appalachian Mountain area, Mansfield is in
the heart of one of the top outdoor recreation areas in the country.
Numerous lakes, streams, hiking, biking and skiing trails, surround
it. And not for the faint of heart – there’s springtime whitewater
rafting and kayaking down Pine Creek through the spectacular Pennsylvania
Grand Canyon gorge.
