College of Business
While the College of Business of West Texas A&M University of Canyon,
Texas primarily serves the Texas Panhandle region, it prepares students
from around the world for careers in business and economics. Our faculty
possesses a diverse background in both academia and commerce, and
share these experiences readily with our students. Our small class
sizes allow us to give individualized attention, at a time when many
state schools offer only large classes. Our students are not mere
"numbers;" rather, they are real people with whom we interact on a
daily basis.
The MBA program at West Texas A&M University offers a variety of options
for students seeking a professional business degree from a regionally
accredited University. The 250 students in the MBA program have the
option to concentrate in Management, Marketing, Biotechnology & Health
Care Administration, Agriculture, and Computer Information Systems
(students interested in an accounting concentration should consider
the MPA program while those interested in an economics or finance
concentration are encouraged to consider the MSFE program). The 36-57
credit hour MBA program is designed for completion within a two-year
period, although a few students complete the program in as little
time as one year while others take up to six years.
